Got a Honda last summer with a USB A connected Android Auto. It worked most of the time but it would stop working; unplugging and plugging in the USB cable would usually fix it. Sometimes I couldn't get it to work at all. I try 5 different cables with the same results. I found a Reddit post in the Android Auto forum that this Amazon cable fixes the connection problem. After I got the cable Android Auto has connected and stayed connected every time. Bonus: The Amazon comments said this cable would not charge your phone. It charged my phone; what an awesome cable.

Pixel 7 running GrapheneOS. Constant disconnects from Android Auto on bumpy roads. This adapter completely resolved the issue. I have no idea how or why. I had tried different USB cables from reputable brands. Rebooting the phone would usually lessen the disconnect frequency. But this adapter fixed the issue instantly.

I have a 2019 Crosstrek and Android Auto worked fine with my Pixel 2. Traded my phone in for a Galaxy S21 and AA no longer works. When I plug it in, it will just disconnect and ask me to plug it back in. No amount of troubleshooting has been successful. I came across a Reddit thread with the recommendation to try this adapter and IT WORKS! I'm not sure what kind of magic they make this adapter out of but I'm using it with the original cord that cane with my phone and am now able to use AA with my S21!

I love this thing. I have a c plus charger which wouldn't connect as android auto in my car. This adapter changed that! Very happy to be able to use my charger now to it's full extend, would absolutely recommend this adapter.

I've had this for a week. I bought it because my Android Auto was not working properly and would always get disconnected in my Subaru. It was suggested on reddit. So far a week in and it has been working flawlessly. I use this and the USB-c to USB-c cable that came with my Google pixel 9 pro. Works for charging and connection to Android Auto.

I just purchased a new Subaru Forester. To connect your phone via Android auto to the car's computer you need to plug in the device via the usb a outlets in the car. There was no problem with my old Motorola. I also needed a new phone and decided on a new Pixel 7. I remembered reading about some connectivity issues using a Pixel 6 when connecting it the same way. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 are essentially the same phone with some upgrades. Upon further investigation, the problem was really common. I stumbled on one forum which recommended this Cable Creations adapter. There were lots of reviews that affirmed that (for whatever reason) this adapter corrected the issues. When I decided to purchase the Pixel 7, I also ordered one of these adapters, just in case Google hadn’t corrected the problem. Suffice to say it works. No connectivity issues whatsoever and no dropped connections - so far. The phone also charges while plugged in. I use the cable that the Pixel 7 came with in- between the phone and the adapter. If you need an adapter anyways, and this is your issue, I recommend this one. My only little gripe is that the short cable is too stiff and just wants to stick out of the little compartment where the plug is. This makes it hard to tuck the cables away. A really minor issue. I'll update this review if I start to experience issues. If nothing additional is posted - it's working fine.

I was linked to this item in the depths of a forum saturated with users having issues with wired Android Auto disconnecting constantly. I always assumed that the issue was with my phone because the disconnects would occur when losing signal (it doesn't make sense to me either) but after upgrading to a newer model of phone I knew that this could not be the case and decided to delve deeper into the issues. That's where I found a link to this item and decided that it was worth the sake of £10 to potentially resolve the issue. After a couple of weeks of using this adapter paired with an official Samsung cable, I can safely say that my issues have disappeared completely. I have no idea what kind of sorcery this tiny thing packs within it's housing but it has dramatically reduced my stress levels and lengthened my lifespan. Since using this I haven't needed to unplug and plug in the cable to my phone once - it just works! If you couldn't tell already, I am very happy with the purchase.
