The thicker the better. This is not high end sound system. if less than 35ft, 18AWG should be good enough. if over 35ft, use 16 AWG or thicker wire.

These are pigtail style connectors for DIY, you can splice any speaker wire to them, the thicker the better. Normally 20-16 AWG wire should be good enough. If the speakers are very far from receiver, 14 AWG is recommended.
