Great first menstrual cup
This cup makes me forget I'm on my period. It's comfortable, doesn't smell like pads do, and cleaning it is a breeze. I recommend looking up different ways to fold the cup when inserting to find out what works best for you. The U fold that is suggested on the box didn't do it for me. (Seven fold all the way!) More info: 27 yo, no kids, got model 1. I also got a copper IUD near the time I bought the cup, my doctor said it is ok to use the cup as long as I'm careful about the strings. So far I've had no issues, though I make extra sure to break the seal before removing the cup to avoid pulling out the IUD.

All of the benefits without the teething problems
I started researching cups about a year ago because I was fed up with the itchy-overdry sensation tampons gave me, and the squelchy wet sensation of pads. Both were unpleasant. I started with a generic brand called ComfyCup to see if these things were for me without shelling out big bucks, and whilst I got on OK with it, I knew it wasnt my final "one" and got this as an upgrade. All I can say is that it's so worth it, this cup fixes all the teething issues I had with the last. Firstly, the Lunette cup has 4 small holes at the top cut at an angle, not 2 straight-on ones like my last. Whilst seemingly trivial, it's made a huge difference. The other holes got filled with water when I cleaned the cup, and unless I dried them off completely (not an easy task when they're so small) then the cup didn't open properly which caused leaks. This has never happened once with Lunette, the clever design makes everything so easy. Secondly, it's so soft. I now realise my other cup was made of harder silicone which can cause the "sucker punch" sensation some people speak of when it opens. I never had anything that extreme, but the softer silicone means I can't feel anything any more. It's comfortable to wear which means it has all the benefit of a tampon without the cost of regular replacement or dryness. Thirdly, the tab/stem is much better designed. My last one had a hard tab which meant I constantly felt like I was being poked in my sensitive area, so I cut it off which meant holding it to empty the thing was trickier...not ideal give the concept of a cup. The Lunette has a super flexible thin stem, which means that I can't feel it when it's in place and still have something to hold on to when the time comes to... Err... empty it. As an added side effect, I get seriously fewer cramps with this than with tampons! All in all a well designed thing, and I'll be happily sticking with this :)

Never going back!!
Honestly this menstrual cup is a game changer! Like so many others, I was terrified to try cups as you hear horror stories of them getting stuck and people going to the hsoptial to have them removed etc. I did a lot of research and watched a lot of videos, I first tried a cup a couple of years ago which was so uncomfortable and hard, also extremely hard to break the seal to get out. After doing more research I found the lunette and thought I'd give it a go. The cup itself is so soft, I got the size one for people who haven't had kids, its quite small and was intimidating at all. Obviously it's different to tampons and pads, so there is a time of adjustment getting used to putting it in and taking it out, having said that it only took me around a day or two until I could insert it and remove it without difficulty. However, I did have to cut the stem and this took a bit of trial and error as I didn't want to cut too much off in one go, so I cut to the first ridge line, found I could still feel it poking me slightly, cut again and was still slightly pokey, then finally cut it to just under the last ridge line and once I did this, I couldn't feel a thing. It's so convenient, I can put it in on a morning and not have to remove it until I get home on the evening, it's so comfy and I don't feel it at all throughout the day. Last thing I will say if anyone if struggling to insert the cup, use a tiny bit of lube. You don't want to use too much though as you won't be able to hold your cup😂. I tend to fold mine (I use the C fold) and just put a tiny blob on the C part and spread it thinly over the top of the fold and it goes in like a dream! Tip for taking it out starts with insertion, don't put the cup up too high, I only have to put my finger in to the first knuckle and I can feel the stem (if you can't find the stem, push down with your muscles to move the cup further down until you can grab it). Grab the stem and gently wiggle it down, when you need to move your fingers to grab more of the stem/cup, tense your muscles, this will stop the cup moving back up, then wiggle it more until you can break the seal and gently wiggle it out! Don't be scared to try this cup, it's honestly changed my periods.

LOVE IT !!! BEST CUP EVER!! :) :)
This is my favorite cup!!! It was worth every penny! Its popping open really easily ( I have nearly 10 cups ) and so easy to take it out as well. It was super easy to clean . I think this is my goldielock cup ! I dont even feel that its in , and its also easily makes me forget that im even on my period! It makes a good seal but same time it easy to break the seal. I will definitely buy more and also try the large size as well for heavy days! I would highly recommend it if you want a reliable cup ! Update : I still love this cup and consider one of my first choices ! ( Now i have over 20 different cups )

Lunette menstrual cup review in 10 words: Greatest product for women. Clean, simple and easy. Get one! Here are the details: The Lunette menstrual cup has completely changed the process of getting my period. I feel a little silly going on and on about a menstrual cup, but that's how wonderful it is. I wish I knew about these 20 years ago! I could have saved so much money, not to mention so many clothes that were ruined from leaking tampons and pads. - It was easy to use. - It was super clean, NOT messy. It's not even a problem when changing it. - It didn't leak for me - not even once. For the first time in my life, I'm not even wearing a pad or pantyliner because I have no fear of leaks. I can throw out all of my ugly "period underwear!" - It saves money. I don't have to throw away $5 or more every single month on disposable products! - It's comfortable to wear. - You get used to inserting it very quickly. By the 2nd day, it was 2nd nature. - For me, the Lunette cup reduced cramping. No more missing out on activities because my cramps are too bad. - It ended the pain of dryness. Tampons are drying and irritating for me. - It helps the environment because you aren't disposing of tampons, applicators and pads. - It makes it so simple because you don't have to carry tampons and pads with you everywhere. You always have protection. - You can put in the Lunette at the first sign you're going to have your period soon so that you won't stain your clothing, whereas you can't put in a tampon in advance. - It comes in awesome colors. Here are the downsides: - It can be a little tricky to change in a public restroom. You'll want to carry bottled water in with you to rinse it out. - The price is a bit higher than other menstrual cups. But it was so worth it, the carrying case is very cute, and I can tell it's a really high-quality product. How did I choose this model? I chose this size because I have a low cervix. For the women out there so you'll know about size, I can't wear the Tampax brand because they are too long, and the softcup disposable cups were way too big and leaked like crazy. I did a lot of research before I bought my menstrual cup, and I knew other cups would be too long for me. The Lunette Size 1 Model is the PERFECT size for me even though I have never had a child and have heavier flow early in my period. I just make sure to rinse it out every 3-4 hours or so on my very heaviest day. Other tips: Watch some of the YouTube videos about insertion and removal. It's really easy. You can trim the stem to your preference. I would advise you to NOT trim the stem the first time you wear it and wait until you're a little more used to inserting it. I trimmed it right away and wish I had left it a little longer.

Greatest thing to ever for periods! Now, let me explain how I chose my cup size & compare Lunette to the Princess Cups, which come with 2 per pack. First, I chose the small size cup even though I meet all of the criteria for the large size except for having had a baby. The reason for this selection is the fact that I am a first time cup user & the fact that I have a large cyst in my vaginal canal, so I wanted the softer, more flexible material of the smaller cup. That the the primary difference between Lunette and the Princess Cup - Lunette is MUCH softer & more flexible, hence far more comfortable for me to wear, then the Princess Cups. I am not saying I will not use the Princess Cups, but Lunette is much better for ME. The slightly more stiff material of the Princess Cup is much easier to remove, however. I did a lot of research trying to decide which to try & if they would work for me with my cyst. There is literally zero info regarding how it will work with the cyst, so I just had to try. It works great, & I don't have to do that weird "rotate" thing to get it in place. I do have some experience with cup-like items since I have been using SoftCups for years, but these are nothing like that & work far better. I highly recommend getting one, though I cannot say which will be your "perfect fit" since you will certainly have a very different vagina and cycle than me. I can say that I thought I had super heavy periods & was using the highest absorbency tampon, changing it multiple times during heavy flow, but with the Lunette I only have to empty it once in the morning and once before bed! Freaking awesome right?! The cup size, though it is the small size, is easy to get in, but hurts a bit pulling out since it's not folded up at that time (just being honest) - and no, I'm not some 15 y.o. virgin teen. No worries though, it's flexible enough to squish without spilling the contents and make it more comfortable for removal. I say go for it - get a menstrual cup! If you need the larger cup, but are afraid to do so, maybe try the Princess Cups since they offer the slightly stiffer material needed after having a baby without being too large or hard. If you need soft, flexible material get Lunette. It's worth the money and fact that you only get one.

So I was definitely skeptical at first... even after researching and watching YouTube reviews. I had previously tried the Instead Soft Cups but they did not work at all for me(more on this later). This little thing is SO much better than I expected. I thought it would leak and be gross and uncomfortable but it is the exact opposite! Best money I've ever spent! I'd recommend it to anyone. It wasn't that difficult to learn to use, i used the punch down fold and it took me maybe 2 to 3 tries. There are some good tutorials YouTube for the different folds. PROS: No risk of TSS ZERO LEAKS! Even on my heaviest days! AND held up through yoga! (The Instead Soft Cup leaked) You can't even feel it! I did cut off the stem. (The Soft Cup was sorta uncomfortable) You can leave it in up to TWELVE hours... no really TWELVE! No odor Doesn't cause dryness It's honestly really cute! (Is that weird to say?) Cost/Convenience: Never worry about running out of or paying for tampons again! These can last TEN years if well cared for! (Soft Cups only last 1 use or 1 cycle depending on which model) EASY insertion/removal: I got it positioned correctly the 2nd or 3rd try! I thought removal would be be messy like the Instead Soft Cup was for me... but it wasn't... at all. You just pinch the bottom to release the suction, pull it out, dump it, and rinse it. Iempty it in the morning and at night and haven't gotten anything on me yet! The silicons is really high quality, not too firm, not too soft. The grips are really great and not flimsy. You can tell it was made well, all the suction release holes at the top were punched through all the way and all the seams are smooth. CONS: It was a little pricey - but a good investment to SAVE $ in the future! Bottom line: BUY IT!! You're honestly gonna get what you pay for, so if you're wanting to try a menstrual cup for the first time, splurge and buy the Lunette. They are a great company and have a great product that works.

This is the first menstrual cup I've tried. Since I was a beginner, using a cup took a few days to get used to and I had to take it out and reinsert it a few times during the day so it was comfortable. However, it was easy to get used to and now I can both insert and remove it quickly, and it's comfortable for hours with no adjusting needed. I have only had it leak twice: the first day I ever used it (I think it was not in correctly) and one time when I forgot to empty it in time and it was entirely full. I only have to empty it twice a day during normal flow, and I've even left it in for 24 hours on lighter days with no problems at all! Before I got a menstrual cup, my main worry was having to empty it in a public restroom. I don't have to do this since I'm fine emptying it only twice a day, but I did take it out to adjust it in a public restroom when I was still getting used to it, and it went fine! I just washed my hands before and after (I didn't even clean off the cup - I do rinse it with hot water whenever I empty it at home). I am SO pleased that I took a chance and tried a menstrual cup! My favorite things about it are: -It's way more comfortable than a tampon. I was worried about this because obviously it's bigger, but the silicone material is soft and conforms to your body, and it doesn't soak up normal fluid like tampons do, so there's no dryness issue. I hardly ever feel it inside me (I used to feel tampons a lot when I moved certain ways, but I think the silicone flexes better with my body). -I hardly ever have to think about my period! Instead of remembering how many hours it's been and changing tampons/pads throughout the day, I only empty my cup in the morning and at night. In between, I actually sometimes forget I am on my period! -I trust my cup so much that I can wear normal underwear during my period! No more ugly, stained "period underwear" in case my pad or tampon leaks! -Huge money savings over time as the cup can last 10 years, and so much better for the environment! -It comes with a handy carrying case and I can carry it in my purse at all times when I'm not on my period just in case. I only need to carry one thing (not a variety of pads/tampons)! -The Lunette is really easy to clean and that's one of the reasons I chose this brand. It's the only brand I've tried so I can't compare firsthand, but blood doesn't get stuck anywhere, which I've heard is a problem with some other brands, especially the most popular cup in the USA, the DivaCup. -Cleaning it is not as gross as I imagined. I actually come into contact with menstrual blood far less than I did with tampons and pads because I only have to deal with my cup twice a day. I do it in my home bathroom where I can reach the sink from the toilet, and I just rinse it with hot water and make sure to clean out the holes (by suctioning it to my hand and squirting water though them). The whole process of removal, cleaning, and insertion takes probably 3 minutes. If you are a beginner, don't give up on your cup! It's a little weird at first (I especially had trouble removing mine) but I recommend trying it for 1-2 periods to see if it works for you. There are tons of helpful videos online with different insertion folds and tips. As other reviewers have mentioned, if one cup doesn't work for you, there might be a better one for you. I am SO happy I made the switch to a menstrual cup and I'm really passionate about it and often talk about it to my menstruating friends! I bet lots of people you know haven't heard of menstrual cups, so if you're happy with it, spread the word!

Being 21 years old and having always been intimidated by tampons (for several reasons), I thought that I had no other choice but to use pads, which I hate with a passion. By chance, I stumbled upon a product known as menstrual cups. I loved the idea of something reusable, internal, hygienic, and easy, however, I wasn't sure if I would be comfortable using one. I finally had enough and decided to try one. After hours and hours of research, and learning everything there is to know about menstrual cups I decided to purchase the Lunette - Model 1 (I will explain why later). Once I received it, it took me about 1-2 weeks to get comfortable with insertion and removal, but I was determined that one day it would be second nature to do so. Fast forward two months, and now I will never go back to pads. I only wish I had known about this product sooner. I HIGHLY recommend buying one, you will not regret it (no matter how long it takes you to get comfortable with it). Why I Chose Lunette - Model 1: 1. It is made out of medical grade silicone. Silicone makes it hygienic, soft, flexible, safe, and unnoticeable. For comparison's sake, I bought two MeLuna menstrual cups (which are cheaper and made out of plastic) and while they are great, there is a huge difference in quality between the Lunette and the MeLunas. Lunette is far superior. 2. The suction holes are placed higher which allows for higher capacity. 3. The stem is comfortable and easy to cut if necessary. 4. It is smaller than most cups but holds a lot. Why I Choose to Use a Menstrual Cup: 1. It's reusable so I am not contributing to waste and landfills and I no longer need to buy bulky boxes of pads. 1. It's simple. Just insert when you think your cycle is starting and change it every 12 hours. 3. Makes traveling a breeze. Just pop it in your purse, backpack, or luggage and you will never be caught by surprise again. 4. It sits much lower in the vagina than tampons do, which I find much more comfortable. 5. It is internal protection, like a tampon, but doesn't dry you out and there is no risk of TSS. Because it is internal, you can swim, do yoga, or gymnastics. It basically allows you to do everything you would while not on your period. 6. After using a menstrual cup, I literally don't care that I am on my cycle because it makes it so easy to deal with. Tips for Using a Menstrual Cup: 1. Allow yourself to get acclimated to using it, don't stress out or get frustrated. Know that with practice, using one will become second nature eventually. 2. I prefer to use the punch-down fold (watch a youtube video for instructions). If you have trouble getting it to open, push it in as far as you can and pinch the bottom. Doing this will help release the fold and get it to open. Don't be surprised when it pops open, the suction feels a little weird for a second. 3. Know that it won't get stuck. If you have trouble removing it, use your pelvic muscles to push the cup to a place where you can grasp the stem. Once you find the stem, position the cup to the point where you can grasp the bottom of the cup. Pinch the bottom (sometimes a little higher) to release the suction and pull it DOWN and OUT. 4. Do your research, become familiar with your body and menstrual cups. This will help increase your confidence as things won't be a mystery. I hope this helps make your transition to using a menstrual cup much less daunting!
