Cable Matters 2-Pack Mini HDMI to HDMI Adapter - 6 Inches, with 4K and HDR Support for Raspberry Pi Zero and More

I didn't know they started putting Mini HDMI on video cards. If they've been doing this for a while, then i guess this is the first time I've encountered it. I purchased a couple of EVGA GT 730 2GB that came with two DVIs and a Mini HDMI. When i originally looked at the item photo prior to purchasing i just saw what looked like an HDMI port. It was, but the mini kind. We are using this computer on as an HTPC at work and needed to use HDMI to get audio to the TV as well. I purchased this Cable Matters product that came in a pack of two which is great since I have two builds that were exactly in the same situation. I plugged this into the mini HDMI port and plugged in the regular HDMI on the adapter and the TV recognized it immediately. I have no issues so far. I am not familiar with any technical aspect of differences between mini HDMI and regular HDMI so i cannot say if there are any performance ad/disadvantages. Overall, I am happy with this item, and has always had great results with Cable Matters products.

i got these to connect my nvidia shield k1 tablet to my tv. i have a rather long standard hdmi cable running from my entertainment center along my ceiling and down my wall to an end table next to my couch. i was using that to connect to my laptop. now ive pretty much replaced my laptop for all entertainment duties with the nvida shield tablet which of course has a mini hdmi connection. what can i say? it works perfectly...exactly what i needed. ive only been using it for a couple of weeks, but i have been using it a lot..nearly every day. ive been connecting and disconnecting the tablet to this several times a day and i havent noticed any problems whatsoever. it works, the build quality seems good, and it was reasonably priced (compared to similar devices for 4x the price at larger retailers).

The official Raspberry Pi Zero case is too thick for a normal mini HDMI plug to be inserted all the way. You can fix this by trimming the case or by trimming a bit of the plastic off the end of the plug like I did.

Used with my PC tablets. The mini-HDMI plug is a bit fat with plastic, so adjacent port plugs (a micro-USB & a USB A) must be skinny to permit use of this cable. No electrical issues whatsoever. Good value.

I have a few cameras that have Mini HDMI outputs for viewing on monitors, etc. I have some short mini HDMI cables, but needed to have a longer distance from the camera to the monitor. Rather than buying a really long new cable, I just got these adapters which let me use my existing long standard HDMI cables. Works perfectly. It's always nice to have two, too!

I wanted to protect the HDMI port on my DSLR. After looking for a solution I found a suitable cable protection device but I needed something that would break away from the cable protection. This did the trick. Connect the Cable Matters Mini HDMI to the camera, connect the cable protection to the Cable Matters Mini HDMI, and connect an HDMI cable to it. Now if the device connected to the HDMI cable is pulled away it just disconnects the HDMI cable and does not damage the HDMI port of my DSLR. This little device saved my camera several times.

Highest quality tight fitting precision standard to mini HDMI adapter. Remember there are 3 types of HDMI fitting sizes: standard (most common), mini (next size down), and the micro (very tiny). Be careful to identify before ordering. Excellent price. The 6 inch cord allows for easier hookup of second and third HDMI output devices to the input of a swiching HDMI junction coupler with a single HDMI output running to the final destination. Item is not gold plated, no significant concern or probable lack of overall performance.....does not affect my rating.

This is a great item and works as expected. I’m using these to connect my portable travel monitors when I’m on the go with my office work. I would buy from this seller again.

It works perfectly with my portable monitor (that’s why I bought it) meaning I can use my Chromecast or just about anything else I throw at it. The picture quality is what you expect. The build quality is fantastic. Just perfect. I wholeheartedly recommend this thing for any mini-HDMI source out there.
