Amazon Basics Stereo 2.0 Speakers for PC or Laptop with Volume Control, 3.5mm Aux input, USB-Powered, 1 Pair, Silver

I'm not sure why I ordered wired speakers--I think I had some idea that the internet was needed for Bluetooth, but apparently I'm wrong about that! Anyway, these speakers plug into my laptop, one lead into the headphone jack and the other (which draws power) into a USB port, and they work fine. The speakers are fairly heavy and they look good. They're bigger than I expected. Each speaker is about the size of a standard coffee mug turned on its side. The cable that runs from laptop to speaker is about 3 or 4 feet long. The volume is not super loud. They are not loud enough to fill a room with sound (so they wouldn't be quite loud enough if I wanted to listen to music while walking around doing housework, for instance, I'll need to use headphones for that), but they are loud enough if you're sitting near your laptop. At maximum volume, they are a little less loud than the sound level we would have if watching TV, but that's not a problem because if I'm watching a movie on my laptop, I will be a lot closer to it than I would be to the TV. The volume is fine for watching a movie--I find I'm turning the volume up to around 80% to do that. I'm no audiophile, but the sound quality sounds pretty good to me. Given how inexpensive these were, they were a bargain.

These are terrific and cute little speakers, and very easy to install! Don't expect Bose sound quality, but they work great for my purposes.

I got these for my son because I didn't want him to have to wear a headset a bunch. The speakers are nice and compact. The sound is good for the price, I can't complain. They don't feel cheap or flimsy. You do have to connect the USB and the audio jack portion for it to work though, at least I had to. My only complaint is the volume control is a bit weird. I do wish it was on the speaker itself instead of hanging behind the desk on the wires.

I am extremely impressed by these. I have been dealing with crappy computer speakers for over a year and typically just opt to go for my headset since it is nicer sounds quality. When I started playing co-op games in the same room, it became difficult because we wanted to communicate but it felt silly to use microphones and headsets next to each other. So, I bought two sets, one for me and one for them. We couldn't believe how great these were. Not only are they extremely affordable, they are also great quality. The sound at max volume is LOUD! They are heavy, sturdy, and durable. The sound sounds good, higher quality than I would expect from a speaker at this price. It was SO easy to plug in and immediately get sound. It is just USB and headphone jack. No issue with connectivity. You can control the sound via computer settings, or with the manual dial on the cord. Lastly, they glow blue so you can get some fun lighting but also it can tell you when they are on and working! Love these things.

The Amazon Basics Sterio 2.0 Speakers are pretty good speakers for the price. I purchased these speakers as replacements of a pair of Bose speakers that I've had for probably 15-20 years that have worn out. Of course, these speakers aren't going to give you the sound quality like you would get from a pair of Bose speakers but for the price, I can't complain. These speakers won't give you the Bass quality that you'll get from Bose speakers. When I first tried the speakers out, I was disappointed in the sound quality I was getting when plugged into my Windows PC. I decided to download a free open source sound mixer which definitely helped improve the sound quality. Using the free open source sound mixer, I can select pre-set frequencies based on what kind of things I'm listening to on my laptop. For the price, if you are looking for a pair of general use speakers for your computer, I would recommend these speakers. If you are wanting speakers that produce excellent sound quality for listening to music or gaming, then you'll probably want to buy something higher quality.

The volume is very good and these speakers produce a "rich" or "full" sound. Especially considering the low price. I was surprised that each speaker has substantial weight which seems to contribute to a quality product (at least to me). UPDATE 15 January 2026: I opened each speaker and this is what I found: 1. The Amazon web page for this item states "Woofer 3.9 Inches" and "Tweeter 1 Inches [sic]" under the "Product information" > "Additional details" category. That information is completely false. The actual (correct) speaker information is a single 1.5 inch (I measured it) speaker, one for the left and one for the right enclosure. A tweeter speaker does not exist in this item. However, a downward-facing passive oval radiator is in each speaker enclosure and measures 2-1/2 x 1-5/16 inches. Stamped on the rear of each speaker is "250822 FD43-3BEHR, 4Ω 3W" for whatever it's worth. 2. The only reason each speaker has substantial weight is because of the bottom metal (appears to be pot metal) plate. This is the plate with the foam attached to it and is actually worthwhile to help keep the speakers from moving. 3. I disabled the two blue LEDs that illuminates the bottom base of each speaker when powered on. That was done by de-soldering the two wires that are connected to the mini-PCB that holds the two blue LEDs. Even thought this item has incorrect product information, I still maintain the speakers have very good sound quality considering the very low price. The passive radiator most likely contributes to that.

Well where should I begin, the quality of the speaker itself is not bad at all actually pretty good but when you turn it up too loud it’ll glitch out or make that glitch noise. It is not Bluetooth, so with that there’s no way to get around the static just make sure you have a usb and audio jack to plug into meaning you can plug the usb in anywhere but the main audio will come from the jack so I plug the usb into my pc and the audio jack into my controller. It is compatible with pc, ps5, xbox, but beware if you have the audio jack in your controller you can’t use your mic unless you obviously have a Bluetooth mic or maybe a splitter would work.

Purchased these for my Dell OptiPlex PC, as the default speaker on this computer isn’t great (I’d usually have to turn the volume up to at least 40 just to hear music decently). The price and ratings were really appealing, and I mainly wanted these so I could enjoy my background music at the office more. They arrived just a day after ordering and were packaged neatly. They also have a nice weight to them! They’re small in size but don’t look or feel cheap at all. I also like how they glow blue once plugged in, it looks really sleek. I want to reiterate what other reviewers mentioned; these sound clear, crisp, and not muffled at all. I only had to turn them up to 7 for them to sound loud! The sound quality actually reminds me of my JBL speaker, and they’ve got great bass too. Setup took me maybe a minute or two after unboxing, super straightforward, and I didn’t need to look at the instructions. Just unwind the cables and plug them in. The speakers have a little volume dial that lets you control the volume. I recommend turning this all the way up so you can adjust the volume from your computer instead. If you don’t, you might find yourself needing to tweak the volume more on your end. I love these speakers! They’re easy to use, look sleek, and their size makes them suitable for any setup. The cables are great too - not too thin, thick, or long enough to get tangled. 10/10!
