FOUR E'S SCIENTIFIC 1-5mL Pipette, Adjustable Volume Micropipette

I have been using a regular plastic syringes to withdraw multiple solutions to use on my nano reef tank, from liquid nutrients to water samples for testing and it's always a circus to hold on one hand the bottle and try with the free one to draw up the liquids, usually you draw more that is needed and its hard to quantify how much is or you end a little bit short and then pull a little more and now you are over, etc... I decided that it was time to retire half of the little syringes and get a variable volume pipette, I'm really satisfied and happy with the performance and accuracy level of the Four E's pipette (1-10ml version). While it's kind of on the big side compared to what I was using before its super light weight and fits really nice on my hand so now I just need one thumb to press to withdraw and press to release! No more guessing, adjusting the volume of liquid withdraw is super easy, slowly turn the push button to adjust the volume based on the reading on the display and once is set you are good to go, to be sure how accurate is the pipette I draw up 5ml of water and filled a graded syringe to compare... Boom! right on the 5ml line. Super simple to put and remove plastic tips simplify my whole set of tools, instead of one syringe to measure each solution used, now I just have a few plastic tips of the same size that can be cleaned and reused if is safe or discarded if needed. (A small mark made on the plastic with a oil based sharpie works as a good way to ID for what is each tip is used to avoid contamination and terrible mistakes). I will recommend this tool to anyone who need a fast and easy way to dispense solutions on a consistent way without breaking the bank!!

Incredibly affordable pipette. I was expecting “approximate liquid relocation device,” but it actually does the job well. The packaging was also surprisingly nice, giving it a very “budget pipette, premium unboxing experience” energy. It’s easy to use, accurate enough for everyday lab work, and doesn’t make my wallet cry in SI units. For the price, this little pipette has excellent cost-to-volume-transfer efficiency. Would recommend for anyone who needs to move microliters without moving their entire budget.

2 months in, measuring liquid plant fertilizer, the unit fails to pull a full 10ml and i have to do extract at least twice to get 10ml. One pull(extraction) should get a full 10ml but it doesn't. The spring inside seems weak already. I do not recommend. Addendum.. I disassembled the device and cleaned it internally and lubricated it with the same silicone lubricant for my treadmill purchased here on Amazonand it appears to have fixed the problem. It now operates to my expectations

Bought this pipette for doing water testing on my aquarium. It fills the many 10ml and 5ml test tubes perfectly. I was impressed with the quality of the device given the reasonable price. Instructions were written in actual proper English and even included a quality control certificate which was a pleasant surprise. The pipette has a satisfying "click" when you adjust the volume nob so I know it's locked in. The only con, and this is a stretch, are the instructions. While they were NOT written in translated English, they were howewer not the most helpful to me being a novice with something like this. I had to mess around with it for a minute for the instructions to sink in into my brain. The device is very easy to use once youu understand the principal of how it works. A quality product I hope to get much use of. I'm sure my corals and fish will love it too!

The pipettors did I received we're very very good the quality is top-notch and second to none I was unfortunately sent the wrong directions and even with the replacement models I was sent the wrong directions. The Replacements that they gave me are excellent they have not a flaw on them but as I said when I open the box of one of The Replacements I have not open the other one the directions were the same as the first one that says that you should use a tool to get the handle out and they don't say anything about unscrewing the the thing out they did send me pictures a PDF file with pictures in it to show me how to do all that I want to change my review of them from one star to five star they are a very reputable company and we'll go to the fullest extent to satisfy their customers thank you fourE's for your generous response I would buy lab equipment from you and anything else that I needed that you sell anytime I needed it thank you again Sean captain

Works great for measuring out liquids in a lab. Love how its adjustable for amounts. Feels very high quality too!

Had to be set at 7.4 to get accurate 10ml, I can live with that if all I ever needed was 10ml. Adjusting this thing seems to do nothing. I've fiddled with this thing for hours and have resorted to marking pipette tips with measurements I need, which, entirely defeats the purpose. Customer Service to the rescue! Four E's Scientific took care of me. I suspect I just received a defective device, it happens, I get it. Thankfully they reached out to me and made me happy. I'm going to order another one because I need one that functions correctly.

Product was what I was looking for as far as price and quality.

I tested many tips to be sure, but used with the Four E's Scientific micro-pipette 100-1000 uL they yielded reliable volumes (I used a high precision scale and water since its volumetric weight is 1 g/mL = 1 g/1000 uL).

Thought I could use this to replace the expensive 300+ CAD pipettes. I calibrated for 20 ul found out that for any other volume, it is off by atleast 10-20 %-this might not be an issue for you. But dont expect this to replace the expensive lab ones.

Easy to follow instructions. Comfortable fit in hand. Setting amount is very easy. Yes recommended as a good purchase.
