Rent if you have to read this...don't bother buying the book
I rented the digital version of the book for my Human Resources course. This book is not awful, but it is not particularly insightful. The material is very generic (probably so that it is applicable across states). There is not really very much useful content because there is no depth to any of the content. Most of this book appears to have been written before the internet was in common use. This book is in desperate need of an update--even though it was published only 5 years ago. The recruitment and selection chapters were painful to read. The book recommends that the HR department carefully select its job advertisement titles so that they fit in a newspaper classified ad. It also recommends that HR update job seekers by sending them a postcard to let them know that their job applications had been received and to inform them of their job interview times. Short version: The internet is here to stay. Update your book!

text to speech not enabled
I am tired of digital textbooks not being accessible. I cannot change the format of the page or the font size. It's like paying $100 for a scanned pdf. No text-to-speech ability either.
