POWERNICK 18 Squash String Set

This is a very good string for those who like to hit hard and enjoy a stiff string. The ball will not stay on the strings long, but you can still put a lot of spin on the ball, and will get decent control, besides a lot of power. The strings do last a long time, as advertised. I prefer the Ultranick in my Head Cyano XT 135, but use the Powernick in the Black Knight Ion Cannon. Different frames work best with different strings. :-)

I use the strings on my Black Knight C2C and they have impeccable control without giving up a lot of power. Compared to the stock strings you get with your racket they give you a lot more accuracy with both power and drop shots. The strings have improved my game considerably as I make far less mistakes - ball goes where I intend it to go. Until I find a better alternate, I will continue to buy these strings.

I have been using this string for a long time now. I like the grip it gives me on the ball to add more spin and control to the shot. The string is very durable as well. Very good value for your money.

The POWERNICK 18 were the first type of strings that I had used as replacement string given its durability and power. I think this is a great string for beginners who are constantly powering the shots left and right. However, once you start expanding your technique to drop shots or high lobs, it gets a little trickier. Only downside is that, these strings are too durable and will take months to break. I realized that by month 3-4, while the strings are still in tact, they are definitely fraying and I was losing the power that I had originally aimed for, and I could never bring myself to restring a racquet where the strings haven't been broken.

I have been playing squash for 6 years and I recently put these strings on my Prince Textreme Pro Warrior 600 at 27 lb tension. The power that these strings produce is comparable to Technifibre strings, but they offer so much more feel on top of that. These strings offer a really good grip on the ball that allows you to add spin and improve your accuracy. This is my go-to string from now on.

I admit that I hit hard but this string only lasted about a month. I purchased it on October 1st, 2019 and had it installed by Dicks sporting goods they took about 2 weeks to restring it. I was very excited and very happy but my excitement ended yesterday when it broke. I had more control on my shots while it lasted. I hope they will send me a refund since the refund window closed

Have been able to use this yet. it is only 9 meters (approx. 30 ft). So its not enough string for a "long string" racket like mine. After stringing rackets for some 20 years I'm less than impressed by Ashaway's choice to package their string like this. Why not a another 1.5 meters and make it universally applicable??? Other than that, I usually like the quality and playability of Ashaway's strings, in general, and I am very impressed with squash galaxy's service, website and especially their desire to please new customers.
