Very happy so far. Easy install, and holds a decent amount of stuff.
A friend purchased one of these for his new truck, and at the time I didn't think too much of it. However, after adding a tonneau cover to my truck and now having a kid with a permanently mounted car seat base in the back seat, plus an 85lb Golden Retriever that goes pretty much everywhere with us eating up my back seat, getting to the "truck stuff" that I had in plastic bins under the rear seat became an issue as in my truck (2006 Chevy 2500HD) the rear seat has to fold forward to gain full access under the seat. In my case, with the car seat and dog seat cover installed it was a huge PITA to get the seat up all the time, so I remembered my buddy showing me this swing case. Mounting it was extremely simple and easy. Six screws and your done! It looks great, and fits quite a bit of stuff. I keep jumper cables, bungee's, ratchet straps, and a hitch ball in there among other stuff. No more dealing with getting to this stuff under the seat anymore, and it also put all the items that would rattle on bumps out of the cab which was nice too. Definitely happy with the Swing Case, and would recommend to others. As another commenter mentioned and I would like to echo as it was very helpful to me, IF YOU TOW A TRAILER AND HAVE A BED SIDE PLUG DONT GET THE DRIVERS SIDE VERSION. I almost ordered the drivers side version by mistake, but luckily saw the comment and ordered the passenger side one instead. The drivers side one would've blocked my 5th wheel power plug and mean I'd have to remove the swing case each time I towed, which defeats the usefulness of it.

My favorite truck accessory.
After adding a roll-up tonneau bed cover to my 2007 Chevy's truck bed, I no longer had a place to store the few essential things that I had been carrying in the full-sized tool box that I could no longer use after installing the cover. You know, a couple of shop rags, ratchet straps, hitch receiver, etc. I really don't need to roll my cover back very often and most of the side-mount boxes I found only offered top access which would by a hassle to partially roll the cover back every time I needed to get into the tool box. The SwingCase is a real answer to real storage problems. The SwingCase pivots out for easy opening, the whole unit can be quickly pulled up off of its hinge pins and removed in the unlikely need for the small amount of bed space that it occupies, and it is lockable. The lid locks and a (not supplied) pad lock can secure the box to the bracket for security if the bed cover is open and left unattended. The automotive-door-style latch responds with a reassuring snap when the SwingCase is stowed for travel and the convenient release lever allows a an effortless disengagement for quick access. I chose the passenger side mount because of some items that I leave on the driver's side bed just inside the gate that I constantly access. This arrangement works great for me. Everyone I that sees my SwingCase is crazy about it. My only complaint is that the support cable for my truck's tailgate does not allow a complete swing out of the case. I've considered removing the cable and placing it in my SwingCase for only those times that I need tailgate support for lumber or other long items. Very well made and durable enough to outlast my truck.

Where has this been all my life
I own the SC101D and SC101P, great decision for my Silverado. I'd always kept my emergency tools under the rear seat. Not a bad place for them, I'd hear the jingle of sockets and combination wrenches from time-to-time. No longer! They're in the bed, under my ARE bed cover. This thing honestly installs in no more than 5 minutes. The box is very high quality ABS build. Very rugged, holds a lot of weight and a large volume of gear. On one side, I keep all of my tools, the other side carries some emergency spare parts, jumper cables, tow straps, etc. When in the stowed position, I lose very little, if any, usable bed space since they use that area between the wheel well and tail gate. This is a great piece of kit for your truck, worth the cost. Several variants available to fit most, if not all, trucks on the market today.

Great product, a few negatives
This has mixed reviews. I have had it about 6 months now and can give a good review: Pros: Easy to install Plenty of room inside Easy to remove if needed Can still fit about 4" of 4x8 sheet goods under it Swings out easy Lockable Convenient Water tight Cons: Must be removed for lots of sheet goods Can only open about 60% of the top if it is no swung out. I can still reach in and get a strap out without swinging it Covers the tie down point on the bed of the truck (can use the lock clasp as a tie down point with light pressure) Gas and solvents WILL dissolve the box. I used Goof-Off and it softened the plastic. Once dry it was hard again Little tray inside does not stay in place and falls down inside box easily Reviews are mixed on here. It is easy to remove and toss in the truck if you have a lot of sheet goods. I don't even lock the lid, it stays shut. I keep the following in it: 6 tie downs Foldable lug wrench Tow ball Trailer 7pin adapter screwdriver wrench bungees It is about half full. It swings easily, goes on and off easily and works great. I would like to see a model made from aluminum for another $100. I would recommend this to anyone

Excellent storage solution for the pickup bed
This box is very easy to install and is made of fairly thick, reinforced plastic along with heavy duty mounting hardware and hinge. I am careful not to load too much weight on the end furthest from the hinge to mitigate problems others have reported with the hinge bending, etc. I've loaded tools and heavier things on the side with the hinge and lighter things like tape, gloves, flashlights, etc. on the other side and it has been great. I started with one on the passenger side and liked it so much I ordered the driver side. Very innovative way to take advantage of the difficult to use space behind the wheel wells and I don't have to get into the back of the truck to get my tools anymore. Easily removed if more space is needed as well. Very pleased.

I picked up a driver's side version for my 2006 Silverado 2500HD. 6.6ft box. Overall the install was easy and the functionality is excellent. It is so much more convenient than using a toolbox or kit. I like the amount of storage and the waterproofing. The pivot action is just a bonus. Only issue I've had is when running a 5th wheel hitch. When I roll it to the rearward position, or when I remove the entire hitch, it impacts the toolbox. I found this out the hardware and mangled up the adjustment lever on the hitch. Amazingly I was rolling the hitch back (with full trailer weight) and the hitch bent but the tool box was unscathed. So it is really strong. I believe I can cut down that adjustment lever and have all the functions. It's my intent to eventually pick up the passenger side as well.
