I bought these years ago and they are still in nearly the exact same shape that they were the day that they arrived on my door step! I just have to make sure that I keep the cardboard pieces inside dry/from getting wet. And since I have they have stayed in amazing shape! I don't just store my bulb ornaments in this. I *LOVE* collecting ornaments!!! I regularly peruse flea markets, thrift stores, and Ebay for ornaments. And in doing so they don't always come in their original boxes. So the ornaments that will fit in the slots in here I also store here. I wrap the really breakable ones in either bubble wrap, tissue paper, or grocery bags (whichever I have on hand honestly lol). Then I place them in their individual slots. I always make sure that I store the boxes inside my home though. We have an attic and storage above our garage (it's basically a large shelf between the garage and the attic) and I've never stored these boxes in either location. Only in closets in my home because of the soft material that the box is made of I'm afraid that if I were to store them in a location outside of my home, such as the garage, shelving that we have above the garage, our attic, or even the outside shed that we have for other storage, that mice could eat through the soft exterior of the box and the cardboard inside and damage the ornaments. I've had these storage boxes for a few years now and stored them in closets inside my home and never had *any* damage to anything. I love these so much that this year I went ahead and bought two more because my ornament collection grew so much last year!

I purchased these as they were on sale and they stored all my ornaments perfectly. I have round small ornaments and had no issues placing them in this storage container. I quickly added all my ornaments in and moved on to the next task. These storage containers worked so well that I ended up buying 2 more for my Halloween ornaments. The storage bin doesn't have a typical sealable lid however I am storing then in the attic so they won't be tampered with and will hold just fine until next year. I would recommend these if you have small ornaments.

5 stars for QUALITY OF STORAGE: THe quality is so much better than I thought that it outweighs my function issues,but probably won't need another one in this size ornaments squares. 1. Outside square is very strong have duty cArdboard covered securely with heavy fabric and reinforced edges/seems/corners 2. Strong bottom with a solid heavy duty panel that you place in the bottom 3. 4 rows of heavy duty cArdboard with a panel to place between layers 4. Same heavy duty cArdboard covered in fabric with reinforced edges for the top 5. Strong,well secured handles 6. I only wish there was a strap or snap to secure the lid, it secures itself well,but I would prefer an absolute lid,not just placing it on top...zipper,snap,flap,.ties,anything. function issues: The size of the squares is absurdly small. They fit only the smallest of my christmas balls,a few handmade ornaments,and soft punishable ornaments,all without tissue space. I am not a large sized ornament person. I celebrate life's milestones and special memories with corresponding ornaments each year,so most are small or medium sized. I don't like big ornaments because tree branches for them are very limited on a real tree. Yet,this will not even fit my smallest hallmark ornament, the snoopy birdwatching I got this year,the box is the smallest of all my boxed ornaments, it is too big for this square. Yes, I can remove the rows to make them bigger,but the cardboard protects the ornaments and keeps the square sturdy. Also, I already have older similar boxes where I took that route and it defeated the purpose,they are just boxes now. I wanted good storage for my best ornaments,none of them fit. Even the small ornaments that fit,cannot be wrapped in tissue...ugh. seriously,a 1.5 inch snowman wrapped in tissue did not fit. So I cut a sliver of tissue to wrap it once. It is well made,very sturdy,attractive,protective.....but only for the smallest ornaments in limited shapes. This is a fabulous box but if you have to remove most of the cardboard protection to fit ornaments,it's not so good anymore. At least make a layer with big squares for a regular ball or a hallmark box...or make a set of two,one like this and one that is bigger and fits less ornaments but fits bigger ones,like medium regular normal christmas balls!

Easy to set up and keep the ornaments separate and protects them. The box has a festive Christmas look which is easy to identify and access from storage. I would highly recommend it.

It serves but not as sturdy as ones I bought before

This is a great value. I chose this one because you can customize the size of the compartments by ripping or cutting the dividers, and because the compartments are actually big enough for 3” ornaments. It’s not the sturdiest thing ever but for the price you know what you’re getting. It was easy to assemble and doesn’t weigh much at all. That said, while it does fit 3” ornaments, I don’t think you should fill the whole thing with them. The yellow & purple ornaments at the bottom of the first picture are 3”, and hopefully you can see how they are pushing the dividers out of square a little. If you have 64 3” ornaments to store, this will do it, but they’ll bulge the edges out a little, and I wouldn’t trust the soft sides to protect them in the case of a bump if they’re that tightly fit. Otherwise, the size is great for all my weird shaped ornaments. I only have one that I can’t fit due to height, and I have some ideas on how to make that work. (Three of four layers are pictured; I didn’t include the one that had no notable qualities)
