Where was the material "manufactured"?  i don't trust anything from china anymore.  and one person indicated the smell was toxic. thanks.

The smell is an extremely strong vinyl smell, which is the result of phthalates being released.  It's the same smell as you get from a PVC shower curtain, only much stronger, and it lasts much longer, which means more of the toxic chemicals are being released over longer periods.  The chemicals have been linked to cancer, neurological and respiratory problems.  Do not buy this.

Question 2

Does this have suction cups?  If so, do you sell any mats that do not have suction cups or adhesive?  One that kind of clings to the bottom?

The size large Clearly states if you READ the descirption that it is 30" long with 140 suction cups. The XL version 36" Long states clearlyi in the bullet points once you do choose and click on that size that it has 180 suction cups. You do need to read that for yourself not take my word for it because your question goes back to 2013 and perhaps back then the information was not listed. So I am answering for those who may also see the question going forth from 2019 and this answer. BUT today the information is very clearly given. Hope that helps. I am not buying this one due to I need the extra large size which does not come in the gray color. Don't want clear and pretty much everyone in our family dislikes blue.

Is there any way to get the smell out of the mat?
