What a great product! I’m on a two month rotation in using this in my 120 gallon reef aquarium. I’m certain that you’ll also find it helpful to assist in your daily reef operations.

Throw this into my FX6 and my water appears to disappear in the tank it gets so clear. I have used Purigen for years and recently switched to Chemi Pure. I am on my fourth unit at this point. It burns through faster then Purigen and is not refreshable BUT it does a better job cleaning the water. I know the packaging says it removes CO2 from the water and many planted tank guys have been concerned to use this. I have a heavily planted tank and have not had issues EXCEPT with keeping some of my suppliment levels. My iron goes away fairly quickly now. I have resorted to a few tabs on top of my liquid iron to compensate. Otherwise I have had no issues and have not had to get a CO2 bubbler like I thought at first. While I wish this lasted longer the benefits I get in the tank are worth while. I have spent tons of money on filters, fish, plants, lighting, aquascaping, ect but this "cheap" unit allows me to see all of my hard spent money in much clearer fashion. My fish seem healthier and the colors pop much better. I have made the switch to this and will NOT be going back.

Love the product but can’t understand how charcoal costs so much. Still buy it since it’s very effective.

I use this product in lowest tray in my fluval fx6 canister filter. I teplace it once every 4 months. Keeps water odor free and crystal clear. I use the grande size for my 150 gallon freshwater community tank.

Chemipure works well and it's one of the few things I found to remove the yellowish tint from my saltwater aquarium. However, the fine mesh bag does clog very easily and within a month, it's hindering the flow of my canister filter, which is an FX2 on a 75g aquarium, so that's a lot of resistance. Without it, the filter can easily run 6 months or more between service. It's on the more expensive side for water treatment as well. Since it needs to be replaced often and it's somewhat pricey I've started looking at other alternatives. If it was maybe $25 to $30 a bag and they would come up with a way to keep it from clogging so easily, it would be a five-star product.

I have used Chemi=Pur for years, previously in my saltwater aquariums and now in the freshwater aquariums that my child and I have. It is an excellent product that does everything it says it does.

This product works pretty well for what it is, basically carbon and gfo in a bag. If you don't have room for reactors it is a great way to use it in your system. Put it in an area of high flow where the water is going to be forced through it like a baffle. If you just drop it in an open area of your sump it is not going to be as effective.

This a wonderful product, on par with anything Seachem offers, but just slightly better. I keep about 1,700 gallons of tanks, and this a great aid to both me, and my fish rick
