My husband seems pretty content with these. He was looking for something over ear since after our last long trip his skull candy ear buds were hurting his ears after hours of use. I can hear some noise when he's wearing them in our somewhat quiet house, but not a ton. They're very comfortable and have great quality sound right away (I heard there was some break in period, so maybe they'll even sound better as time goes on.) The battery bank was a great bonus since I'm always hearing the "bee-doop bee-doop" of his phone battery dying, especially on trips when he uses the kindle app for hours, and this one seems to actually hold a charge (he bought one a while back that didn't work very well, but he says this one is much better and actually works.)

Delivers exactly what everyone else says... great sound with enough bass. Bass as most music intended not to the extreme some music today takes it.

GREAT SOUND. I DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND THESE HEADPHONES TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS. PERFECT BASS AND NO MUDDLE SOUND. I THINK I DID A GOOD JOB IN PURCHASING THESE HEADPHONES WITHOUT THE HELP OF MY HUSBAND.

God! these headphones are ridiculously good. The only thing I regretted is my choice of coiled cable. I think a straight cable would be much better and less messed up.

The headphones are great. They are what I expected from all the positive reviews. The portable charger is a great bonus, I have used it several times during one airplane trip to maintain my candy crush addiction.

Really great sound! I did quite a bit of research and settled the ATH-M50. They proved to be all of what I heard others were saying through the online reviews. Get them you'll be happy you did.

Yup they sound pure. They are worth the money to get the premium sound quality in which my ears deserve.

Self : I got theses as a replacement for my old Sony MDR headphones that lasted over 18 years. There main use was for gaming on my PS3 through my Marantz receiver. To be fair I tried them in mutable devices = Samsung galaxy phone, Kindle, and the receiver. I tried all setting to try to reduce the horrible sound or lack there of.PRO : I trust the reviews from CNET and they made a great review for this item. It had a decent price and it came with a free $30 USB charger. These were one of the most comfortable head phones I've ever worn and I have tried dozens from top of the line to the bottom. They have great noise canceling ability from the average human chatter. Considering there not proclaiming to be noise canceling head phones there awesome good.CON : The fact that there flaws clearly over shadow there ability to even be a decent pair of head phones. The Cord is 10 ft. but it only has 2 1/2 feet of cord that is not coiled. This is great if you only set with your device on your lap or use a MP3 with them. But then why even have a 10 ft cord? The fact that the ear pieces can be rolled out 180 dredges to set on your shoulders this makes them very awkward to put on. But the most important fact I couldn't deal with they sound like my kids $10 Monster High heads phones. I very well experienced with audio and for the level of quality were getting to at this price level these head phone don't cut it. Its a real same they really had some great features going for them. But they messed up the main purpose for having them in the first place. The sound is missing something and it has to must bass. All this can be equalized out to be tolerable. But like I said at this price level I shouldn't have to spend all this time to correct a simple feature that head phones should do already sound good.
