It has ignited everything I cared to try to set ablaze, but most important to me are candles that I use to melt sealing wax. It is a brilliant blue, with blue LEDs to indicate the battery charge. It feels solid to hold, though I do not carry it with me in a pocket to know how it would hold up to such treatment. The only thing that detracts from it is that it picks up any oil from my hand and has to be cleaned constantly to look its best, but boy does it look nice when I keep my fingers off it. For those with battery life concerns, I think the manual covers why some users are having a problem after charging their devices for a lengthy period. The device says only to charge it for a set period to avoid overcharging. Most people are used to lithium batteries and the advanced circuitry that goes into making sure the batteries aren't overcharged and explode, or allowed to run if discharged to unsafely low levels. This device, however, will continue to charge its battery indefinitely even when it reaches full charge. After this point, the battery will be permanently damaged by excess charge. The longer it is overcharged, the worse the damage will be.
