Review: An interactive book for playing in the dark - This book is meant to be held up to a bright light or with a flashlight to create shadows and overlapping shapes. Not all shapes are obvious but hint at the possible stories with minimal narration. A different story is possible every time and allows children lots of freedom to make their own discoveries. We discovered this in the Pompidou Museum in Paris and were glad to be able to buy more copies here online for all the kids in our life. It's become a favorite!

This book is meant to be held up to a bright light or with a flashlight to create shadows and overlapping shapes. Not all shapes are obvious but hint at the possible stories with minimal narration. A different story is possible every time and allows children lots of freedom to make their own discoveries. We discovered this in the Pompidou Museum in Paris and were glad to be able to buy more copies here online for all the kids in our life. It's become a favorite!

My toddler really enjoys this book. It can be a bit tricky to hold the book and a flashlight in a good position. Overall a lot of fun.
