There is a story to Knox authentic incense cones. More than 135 years ago, chemist Hermann Zwetz founded what has become today's oldest factory for smoking incense in Germany; arguably, it was the largest factory in Europe. Driven by the dream of manufacturing incense in a safe and responsible industrial process, he founded a "chemical-technical laboratory". Today is dream lives on in each German Incense burned in an Authentic German smoking man (incense smoker). These can be burned in a cone incense smoker, or on a smoker tray. The scent is light and smoky - almost like you can smell a neighbor burning hardwood in their fireplace! It smells nostalgic for those who had German smokers growing up. The cones themselves do not last a super long time which is fine because the output of scent is just right. But if you burn incense regularly through the season, you might pick up multiple packages.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the scent?**
A: Christmas! Well, it's hard to describe the scent - it's not powerful, but it is very nice. Similar to a church-type incense, but not as pungent. If you're unsure - you should get one of the mixed packs for Christmas scents. I think they have three different ones. You may like them all.

**Q: cones go out in smoker**
A: you need to make sure the cone is lit first.  I usually wait until mine catches fire, give it a second then blow it out.  The fire will be gone, but should begin smoking.  Then close the top half of the smoker & watch them smoke.  The smoker cone usually smokes for 10-15m before it is done smoking completely.  I am sure you could find a video on youtube to watch too.

**Q: same size german smoker & same cones -  BUT incense cones stop burning in only one smoker.  Help please!**
A: I have used these cones in four different smokers without a problem.  Sorry, I couldn't help!

**Q: I have a very short smoker figure. It needs cones that are about .6 inches tall. How tall are these cones?**
A: The ones shown are 1.5” tall.
