Up until 2 days ago, Jarrow Fromulas' French Vanilla Whey Protein was my favorite. But then this beast of Biblical proportions came in the mail, and as soon as I took the first sip, I forgot all about Jarrow's. Chocolate Monster lives up to its name big time. I know it's going to be weird to compare something healthy to such a no-no food, but it reminds me of the chocolate raspberry truffle Blizzard from Dairy Queen. The chocolate taste is just so freakin' bold that you can't help but wonder if this is really something healthy, or a new kind of dessert.As if the insanely great taste isn't enough, Muscle Infusion Black goes above and beyond in the nutrition department. 25 grams of protein for each level scoop is mind blowing. 2.5g of fat and 1.5g of saturated fat, 143 calories, a mere 1.5g of sugar and just 4g of carbs. As for the vitamins, this stuff is 35% in just about everything it covers- just do a quick search for the label info and see for yourself. An even nicer bonus to the nutrition is that it's aspartame free! There's nothing bad I can say about this mix, though if you're a serious body builder, you'll be going through it quick. It's recommended that you take 2-4 servings a day with 8-10oz of water.I want to try the Cookie Madness flavor and see how that goes, but in all honesty, it's going to be hard to be pulled away from Chocolate Monster. My only regret is ordering a 2 pound container instead of the 5 pound one. The whey absorbs fast, the casein slower, and the egg the slowest. For that purpose, it serves well and I like the sustained release.In regards to taste (of the Cookie Madness flavor), it's okay. Nothing I'd characterize as particularly tasty nor nasty. This is a non-issue to me, though, because I drink it for protein; not taste.No mixing problems.I like that there's no maltodextrin. A lot of products that tout being low or no sugar are actually filled with it instead.The product's a bit expensive, though. I'm not saying it's not worth it because, for its purpose, I think it serves well. But I don't find it to be sustainable cost-wise for me personally.
