## Description

Imperial Japanese Navy battleship and lead ship of her class - the heaviest and most powerfully armed battleships ever built. Kit features optional full or waterline hull with internal reinforcing structure and screws, pivoting rudders, excellent fine raised and engraved surface textures, fully detailed superstructure and weapons, 18" gun turrets with interior detail (including gun breeches) and barbette detail, interchangeable blast bags allow mains guns to be positioned at high or standard elevation, durable ABS mast components, optional position hangar doors, ship's boats, FM1 and E13A seaplanes, anchor chain, fine deck fittings (90% of the deck components are molded separately), metal propeller shafts, photo-etch parts (nameplate, cable reels, crane booms, aircraft details, catapult rails, small platforms, ladders, radar) plus display stand. Completed model is approximately 29.6" long. Also includes color painting guide, printed paper flag sheet and decals for hull markings and aircraft insignia.

**Q: english instrutions?**
A: Yes, the model comes with English instructions, even though Amazon's abstract indicates Japanese only.  In fact, Tamiya's models come with multi-lingual instructions.  If something has changed, then you can go to the Tamiya America website and download a PDF version of the instructions.  By the way, it is an absolutely beautiful model.  As a side-note, the Gold Medal model photo-etched parts for the original Tamiya Yamato will fit in about 90% of the cases.  Combine these with the extensive set of PE parts Tamiya provides with this kit, and you will have a stunning model.

**Q: this may be stupid, and i'm sure i know what it is, but is this tamiya item number 78025?**
A: Yes, that is the correct item number.  Not a stupid question at all.  This is the second Yamato Tamiya has produced in 1/350 scale, and is significantly different (and more accurate) than their first edition.

**Q: Is there any basic colour? Or totaly all plastic gray colour?**
A: The entire ship is moulded in neutral gray plastic.  If you are building a serious musem-quality model, most of the ship (from waterline to the top of the superstructure) will be IJN (Imperial Japanese Navy) gray, which is quite dark.  If you intend to build this as a showcase model on pedestals, then you will need dark red for all of the hull below the waterline.  There are other colours involved:tan and linoleum (decks), black (boot line, gun and deck details), white (admiral's launch, whalers, etc), plus several other colours for small details.  If you build it as is and leave it in its neutral-gray colour, I will guess that you will be disatisfied with the result.

**Q: Does it come with the tools? Such as glue, pliers and scissor?**
A: There are no tools, or glue, or paint.

Just received the model and went thru the parts and instructions. No detail was left unattended, a simply beautiful replica.
