Originally, I purchased The Starwest Botanicals Organic Slippery Elm Bark Powder, (Ulmus rubra), to use as a thickener for food I prepare. It definitely serves very well as a thickener. However, I also discovered that Slippery Elm Bark Powder is also very soothing to the lining of the digestive tract. During a google search, I learned that Slippery Elm Bark Powder contains antioxidants that specifically sooth the stomach and reduces inflammation which is at the heart of many health issues. Slippery Elm Powder also supports better digestion and benefits colon evacuation. As sometimes happens, I discontinued using the slippery elm bark on a regular basis for a while. Recently, I noticed that my stomach distress was almost non-stop from one meal to the next. Drinking Aloe Juice didn't seem to give me much relief. Then the light bulb went on and I started mixing Slippery Elm Bark Powder in my foods once again earlier this week. To my surprise and delight, the stomach distress dropped dramatically! I am now a Believer and plan to use Slippery Elm Powder every day to support my finicky stomach. For individuals who take medication, it's best to consume the Slippery Elm Powder several hours after taking medication so that you get the maximum benefit of your medication as well as the health benefits of the Slippery Elm Powder. Starwest Botanicals Organic Slippery Elm Bark Powder is packaged in a generous 1 lb. size. which is an excellent value. The Slippery Elm Powder has a pleasant smell and is nearly tasteless when eaten alone. It doesn't alter the flavor of any food in which it is mixed. In my opinion, Starwest Botanicals has the best quality Organic Slippery Elm Bark Powder available at a fair price. When speaking with one of Starwest Botanicals representatives, I was informed that none of their organic products are irradiated if that's as important to you as it is to me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ tastes like a tree but effective *by on Reviewed in the United States September 28, 2026* I have a hiatal hernia and GERD and some nights are just unbearable. My gastroenterologist doesn't like meds for this so it's taken quite a bit searching to get things that really honestly help and this product does actually help and I do recommend it. IT tastes like bark for sure...so I just drink it down fast. If you also have night time issues I will also suggest you look up the pills called Khelp. I take them every night and they are a game changer. But I do like this product as well and will definitely order again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mixed it in my Nespresso Frother *by on Reviewed in the United States August 5, 2026* I mixed this in my nespresso frother and omg!!! It warms it just right (which is good for the tummy) AND it breaks it up perfectly and turns it into the perfect consistency! You really have to try it like this. Game changer!! ## Frequently Bought Together - Starwest Botanicals Organic Slippery Elm Bark Powder for Women & Men - Traditional Herb for Tea & Wellness, Enjoy with Milk & Sweetener, Certified Kosher, Non-GMO - 4 oz Pouch - Marshmallow Root Tea (Althea Officinalis) – Organic Marshmallow Root – Throat Tea - Gut Lining, Digestion, Respiratory Health - Blood, Bones, Skin, Hair - Marshmellow Herb – 4 Ounces - Chamomile Tea 1LB (16Oz) 100% CERTIFIED Organic (USDA seal) Chamomile Flowers Herbal Tea (Matricaria Chamomilla) in 1 lb Bulk Kraft BPA free Resealable Bags from U.S. Wellness --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/9489902-organic-slippery-elm-bark-powder-non-gmo-4-oz-pouch](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/9489902-organic-slippery-elm-bark-powder-non-gmo-4-oz-pouch) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
