I took it out of the box washed the crafe, filter and filter holder. Pour water into the reservoir. My coffee in the filter and pressed the power button and it started brewing straight away. This coffee maker also has a warming plate so it keeps your coffee warm for hours. Its super easy to clean.I tried making loose tea in it too and it taste good.
