The material appears strong. It has a good amount of stretch and does not appear brittle or that it will break easily when stretched. The tension seems like it is a little bit lighter than the specifications of 15-35 lbs but not by much.This would work great for assisted pull-ups but can also be used for other exercises as well. I hit my elbow really hard on a chair at work and my elbow has been sore ever since making it hard to do certain exercises. Using this band has allowed me to modify shoulder exercises so I do not have to use my elbow. I place the band on my upper arm and am able to do lateral shoulder raises and shoulder front raises without any problems.
