I've had mine for about 11 months and I'm getting ready to buy 2 more because it's such a durable product. 5 stars! **Q: I have a table that is exactly 4 feet wide. is this mat 48" wide? or is it slightly larger due to "borders" ?** A: The mat itself...the thick cutting mat...is 48.125" wide. This product comes in two parts: the thick cutting mat and a thin mat that sits under the cutting mat. The thin mat has the measurements in inches on it. That thin mat sits under the thick mat and has a grid on it with a border. The border contains measurements. Length is 0-92", width is 0-44". So you can see from the width difference that the grid is smaller than the cutting mat. **Q: How is it delivered? Does the mat roll up?** A: Yes it comes rolled up. **Q: How thick is this mat? Creates a very smooth and sturdy surface, therefore making cutting fabric a breeze. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not as self healing as you would think *by C***N on December 20, 2019* This item was not what I expected. In my shop we use thick clear self healing PVC sheets for our cutting tables. You are able to use pins in them to hold material, dragging a knife through the material is incredibly easy. and the cuts close up. This material is not that. This material is much harder. I do not think I will be able to use pins. and because of the hardness of the material I think that my fabrics will slide to easily while dragging my knife. Which is a problem if I want accurate curving cuts. Don't get me wrong, it is not as hard or dense as a kitchen cutting board. But it is a close second. It will be great for protecting the table. But it will not give me the function that I am looking for.
