Maybe it would work if your house is designed perfectly with a window away from all metal and 5 feet off the ground. We couldn't get it to work. It turns on and seems like it's working, but we can't set a boundary. I am having some trouble with it going off randomly. This seems to happen when for some unknown reason the power goes off on the transmitter which then causes the receiver to beep. I'm still giving it 4 stars because of it's range, price and charging style (i.e. no batteries). Could be that I'm just missing a certain instruction.... ? My current work-around is to remove the collar when the dog is in the house.
