It has a slightly gray tint, but oxidizes and takes on my pinky skin tone. I apply with my hands, letting the warmth melt the product into my skin. I just put a light layer on first, probably only half a pump, and then go back and use it as a concealer. No, it's not full coverage, and no, it does not completely mask the spots, but it does conceal quite well. It makes my skin glow and look NATURALLY healthy, which is more than any foundation or tinted moisturizer has ever done for me. As far as the skin care benefits, it's a little hard to tell. I've been using this since January (five months) nearly every day. My skin felt smooth, and my acne has subsided. However, that could be attributed to the topical retinoid I use every night. Review: From an Esthetician and makeup artist's point of view.. - This product is great for a select group of people. If you have oily skin or tend to touch your face a lot, this is not for you. If you aren't either of those two groups, read on. If you're looking for a BB cream, this is the direction you want to go. The drugstore brands in the US are decent for their price, but they're not nearly the same thing as the Asian-made BB's, nor do they carry the same benefits. This BB cream comes out a little greyish, but don't be disappointed. It oxidizes on your skin after about ten minutes to a much more natural color, but if you have a skin tone darker than a Fitzpatrick II (google it), this is not the product for you, because the color is pretty much only for light skins. Apply it and go brush your teeth or style your hair while it's setting to give it time to work. This cream goes on easily - I just use my three middle fingers and pat it to blend. There's no streakiness and it's very easy to blend because it takes about five minutes to really set or "dry". I don't have horrible acne, just the monthly crop, but I have issues with pigmentation and blotchiness from past issues, and this cream evens out about 80% of what I want to cover. I still go in with a mineral concealer and get the under eye darkness and any little spots that need more coverage, then finish with a powder to keep it all from shifting too much. As for the benefits: this BB cream (and pretty much every other one out there) claims to do tons of things, mainly correct, protect, and moisturize. It definitely protected my skin from sunburn when I was outside in the sun on a long photo shoot and my chest was burned (naughty me for not remembering sunscreen), and when I layer it with my mineral powder foundation, it gives about an SPF 40. Alone it's about a 20 or 25. The correction factor was awesome; much more than I expected and perfect for someone who wants a multi-use product or is just low-maintenance. The moisture factor was also good. It left my very dry skin dewy and cool, but it tends to crease really badly around my eyes, so if you have creasing issues, just be ready to check throughout the day and be ready to blend. In summary, I will absolutely be buying this product again. The seller is located in CA so I didn't have to wait forever, if it came from Korea. My product looks to be authentic. I can't find a hint of fakeness on it which is really really awesome! The product itself is awesome. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because its not doing what others claim it can do. It's been more then a month that I've been using Skin79 VIP Gold, so I feel I've given it plenty of time to work it's magic. The consistency is thick like sun screen which makes blending it in kind of tricky. The one color that it comes in was actually DARKER then I thought it would be and I've been at the pool all summer long! However, it did oxidize and matched my skin tone perfectly. I find it easier to apply this BB Cream AFTER I've put on a moisturizer. I can blend it in easier and I feel it oxidizes instantly. This BB Cream doesn't give you full coverage per say, instead it makes your skin look porcelain like. It's weird because its a sheer coverage yet it evens your skin tone and makes you look flawless. It has a matte finish and controls my oily t-zone pretty well. Some state it makes your pores appear larger, I've noticed it's all in the direction your applying the cream. If I apply it in a different direction my pores disappear and are not noticeable. I chose Skin79 VIP Gold over the Skin79 Pink version because a lot reviewers stated they broke out while using the PINK version.
