These picks are a little thicker than a dunlop or fender pick but the sound and health benefits are absolutely worth training yourself to overcome that. The horn and bone ones sounded and felt the best to me. The wooden ones are amazing but are harder to grip because they have nice tight grains. A little bit of sanding the wide top of the pick makes it a little easier to hold for extended periods. They are natural and will wear down eventually and can possibly snap if the grain is wonky but I did not have that experience and will be back when my picks need a refill. Gauges thickest to smallest are .120-.07 and I only needed the bone pick out of the pack.
