Review: Nice casserole but wrong top for me - I ordered the casserole based on the fact that the picture showed a lid with a self coloured (teal) knob on top. I prefer these as they match my existing collection of self-coloured knobs on the lids. The casserole that arrived has a black knob on it, so does not match the others I have bought in the past. I know the new ones all have black tops and this item must be from the new type - but I wanted to match my collection. It is a nice casserole and I kept it as I was having a dinner party and needed it for the number. Now I wish I had returned it as it was not as pictured on the website.

**Q: can i put this casserole (stoneware) directly on stove fire? like, to cook a soup?**
A: I don't think you can cook on the stove with any stoneware.

**Q: Can I use it to boil 2 eggs?**
A: I wouldn’t recommend that. I don’t think it would work on a stove burner, and I also don’t think it’s big enough.

**Q: Could you bake small sourdough rolls in this?**
A: Yes, the stoneware can be baked in temperatures up to 500F.

**Q: Can you cook on a low to medium setting on a stove tp burner?**
A: No, the stoneware can not be used on direct heat. It will crack.
