( I own a Bose mini Soundlink.) Sound quality from the Dali is superb. I use it with my A&K Jr HIFI DAC player (with CD lossless or higher quality recordings) and I've heard things through the Dali which I only hear with my big HIFI (about £15,000's worth). So clarity of presentation with a good audio source is brilliant. It also sound good with my Samsung Note 4 phone. However the Dali is quite large and heavy- so portability is a wee bit compromised. So i guess if you want to delight in the sound quality and use something that makes a difference, get the Dali. If you value portability and use an average sound source then probably you could choose something a wee bit cheaper and possibly more portable. Hope that helps. **Q: Where can we find replacement batteries? No website sells them, Dali doesnt have a valid email address button, no facebook.** A: The thing’s made in China. Why does it not surprise me that the battery’s failed, you can’t find a replacement and can’t contact Dali? **Q: I want to pair this speaker with a mini sound system that has bluethooth, can i pair it directly or do i need a Wireless Bluetooth Transmitter?** A: If you mini sound system can broadcast Bluetooth, then the Dali can receive it and play it back. You don't need anything else. 'As an option' you can connect a googlechrome device to the Dali which uses wifi that could receive better quality music streaming than Bluetooth. The Dali is brilliant as can do both, and if you buy 2 then they can be a stereo pair. **Q: Has anyone heard both minirig 3 and the dali Katch and can compare sound quality?** A: I can't compare the two, but I am a professional classical musician. I use this speaker for teaching and for listening at home because I've found it far better than my bigger home speakers, which weren't cheap. Both for the price and quality, you won't regret going with this one. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Huge upgrade from Bose SoundLink mini- very very happy with my purchase! *by P***Y on 13 February 2019* I have an old bose SoundLink mini which although have been really happy with when no connected to the power it would just randomly turn off which got really frustrating. I also had a bose revolve which i took back as although it was very good the Katch is just on another level with the quality of sound. I have just got my dali Katch today and love it. its a lot to justify but feel like it is worth every penny. actually feel like it did when i brought my magic pro drone for any drone enthusiasts out there you'll know what i mean. despite its cost i recon its actually a bargain!! This will be used mainly in a campervan and so the battery life really appealed to me. if your thinking about getting this you will not be disappointed. if you are then good luck with trying to find anything better! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars *by P***T on 3 July 2020* I have been really impressed with this speaker. Great sound for classical, jazz and the spoken word. It gives a clear and rich sound. Overall excellent value for money and good looking too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than a Beoplay P6 or B&W T7 *by C***Y on 19 November 2018* Just received my new Dali Katch and early impressions are very good indeed. Out of the box is sounds better than a B&O P6 and a B&W T7. I also have a B&O Beolit 17 and this almost sounds as good which is crazy because the Beolit is about the size of a loaf of bread. The Katch is quite wide but only about an inch and a half thick. The sound really does belie its size.Only gripe is the plastic grille on either face does feel a bit cheap and flexy, far less superior to the gorgeous aluminium finish of B&O's offerings in the portable speaker space. But because this speaker sounds so good you can forgive it for that. Once it is up an running and pumping out your tunes, you won't care about the plastic!!
