Due to arthritis, I have limited range of comfortable motion in one leg. These open wide and the Velcro strap is easy for me to reach and open/close. So these really deliver on my primary reason for purchase, which is ease of getting on and off.The tongue of the boot is not attached to the shaft of the boot, so they are not waterproof to the top of the boot, but the design seems adequate to keep snow out, which is my primary need. I see several complaints in other reviews about the height of the toe box. Remember there are two orthotic inserts; if you need more height in the toe box, the supplied directions recommend removing the lower insert.
