I have used them to bake tater tots, reheat pizza and bake other foods that need to brown in tbe oven and get crispy, and they have all turned out well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Beware! This will make you want to bake more cookies. *by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2021* I use half sheet stainless steel baking pans, which are heavy and great for making cookies. Stainless steel is also fairly easy to clean. You can take an SOS pad to it and keep it looking new for a long time. But these Vila Baking Mats make baking cookies and cleaning up incredibly fast and easy, which in turn makes you want to bake even more cookies.The cookies don't stick to the pan being on the mat so the pan clean up is super easy. The cookies don't stick to the mats either, with a little push they just slide, so you don't even need a spatula; although a spatula makes getting them off the mat a little bit easier. You can reuse the mats immediately, so you can make as many batches as you want. Just shake off any crumbs that might be left behind and continue on as if it was the first batch.Then when it is time to clean them, just lightly apply soapy water to each side and rinse. No scrubbing necessary at all. You can let them fully air dry but I towel dry mine and then let it sit out for a few minutes to let any remaining moisture evaporate. Then I roll mine up and store them in a jumbo (super wide) zip lock plastic bag.These mats make the cookie baking process so much easier that since getting mine I have baked about 4-5 times as many cookies. Be careful. You'll find yourself getting out your largest mixing bowl and making much larger amount of cookie dough.I use two half sheet pans in the oven at once. Every 20 minutes, including cooking time, cooling time, plating time, and scooping out another set, I can make another batch. I can kick out a few dozen cookies in an hour very easily.Without these mats the process would be impeded with each subsequent batch and so A) I would make fewer batches and B) I would not be inspired to make cookies as often. First off, the instructions say to put the label side up... but there is no label. Not sure if it's a 50/50 chance you put it on the correct side when baking but I have had no issues as of late.I got these explicitly for cookies. It will impact your bake time, so start off baking just one at a time until you find the sweet spot for bake time. All in all, I prefer using these as opposed to parchment paper but I believe some recipes should be baked on parchment paper to avoid undone centers.
