Not one plant or bush that has been treated with Liquid Fence has been eaten in 18 years. I see criticism in other reviews about the smell. To me Liquid Fence does smell like manure however within 24 hours the smell is completely gone. Small price to pay for such an effective product. If you do accidentally get some on your hands, dishwashing liquid cuts right through the odor (I use Dawn). I highly recommend Liquid Fence and would give it 20 stars if that was an option. Even more, while spraying - it leaks from the top so you will inevitably get it on your spraying hand (hand sanitizer helps kill the smell). Second, because this is Texas - we have to water our landscapes - a lot. It seems to lose its effectiveness after watering so I have to reapply a couple of times a week. Also used it at Christmas when the blasted bunnies kept chewing through my Christmas lights. It certainly has NOT GOTTEN RID OF THEM however. But I'm giving it four stars, because I do think it is helping, and by buying two more bottles, I will know by the end of the 3rd bottle if it really works or not, and then I will come back and update this review. It smells really bad, and you definitely don't want to get it on your clothes, and you want to wash your hands right away because when you spray it, it tends to get on your fingers or hand. It's a really terrible smell, but that's why it works apparently. When you first spray it it stinks to high heaven! After an hour or two it diminishes quite a bit, and by the next day you will hardly notice it at all. But according to what they say, the squirrels will continue to avoid it after that. That's the part I'm not sure about. But you need to spray it after every rain and anytime you see another squirrel in your flower bed. I will update my review after I finish the third bottle.
