The other 16ths and 8ths **Q: On the video she says that the notch has to always be on one side, but it is somewhat incorrect! She could flip the handle by turning the knob.** A: Aughhhh! That's ME on the video, and you're right, you could technically flip the notch and it would work the same way, provided you also flipped the rule since the notch can only fit in the channel and the channel is only on one side of the rule. Have been using another top brand for my 6 inch square and put hands on others at multiple big box stores. They all felt like toys with obviously reduced thickness here and there to save them money. The Swanson is the only one that feels like a serious tool. The machining is excellent. I did have to true it but this took less than a minute. It's easy to do. Just look it up.
