## Description

Vitrail's Transparent and Opale ultra-gloss finishes allow for subtle shades and added depth on fine art surfaces such as canvas and other non-porous surfaces. Although initially created to make the splendid art of stained glass accessible to all, these ready-to-use, alkyd oil-based paints have also revealed themselves as a unique art medium when used alone or in combination with other mediums for Mixed Media applications. Use brushes and droppers to apply the color or simply drip, spatter and pour them directly from the bottle. These paints can also be used in combination with Cerne Relief and Self-Adhesive Lead Strips for stained glass effects. Vitrail paints come in 36 solvent-based colors, declined in 26 intense and brilliant, Transparent colors, and 10 Opale bright and covering, opaque colors. All colors are available in 45 ml bottles; selected colors are also available in 250 ml bottles. Conforms to ASTM D-4236.

Review: Love the glassy finish and bright colors - This paint is so satisfying to use. I’m still experimenting with it but it gives beautiful glossy results. You can make it thick or think it out with thinner. The colors are so vibrant and make it look like a professional finish. They need a lot of stirring so I recommend buying a big pack of stir sticks. There is a lot of product in them and they start out thick but the consistency is rich and work better in smaller areas. They should be used in a well ventilated area because the paint smell is strong. I use this with cerne relief and I love the results. It takes about 1-2 hours to touch dry but I recommend waiting at least 24 hours to frame. It will dry quicker or slightly longer if you use more paint. I’m including a picture of my color chart so you can see how they turn out on glass. I highly recommend this product.
Review: Works well on a glass lamp shade - So, I bought this lamp because of the blue. So many of the "Tiffany-style" lamp shades have too many colors that often look muddy. I saw this one that looked on-line like a nice mix of blues, and not too much white. Well, when it arrived, it did not look as good as the picture, and it was way too white/light to me. So I bought the "Pebeo Vitrail, Stained Glass Effect Paint, 45 ml Bottle - Cobalt Blue", and painted it on all the glass pieces. I am happy with how it turned out. I went to all that trouble because I like the unique round dragonfly decorated base.
