I have a thin Crow call where I had to double loop it so that the spring exerted some pressure to hold it in place. I will also say that on a few calls the tension is not all that strong so I would hesitate to just carry the calls on this lanyard if you are walking through the woods as I can see a bush pulling one out without you noticing. The lanyard twine is pretty thin and not very long. If it were rubbing on your neck I think it would definitely leave a mark. But I am sure your main concern is if this lanyard is usable. I have to say that it is but I think that only those who focus on spending the least amount that gets the job done will be totally satisfied. If you are like me, I will use them for now, and when I find something that is really good I will buy it and use these more as a way to keep my calls together. I am sure if you are an avid hunter who uses your calls a few times a week you probably will not be satisfied with these at all.
