Easily one of the best mint “sauces” and I would literally eat it raw, but additionally, would make the best base for a more typical sauce.When it was discontinued approx 7/8 years ago, I was dismayed, to the point of contacting Colmans/Unilever to confirm if this was truly the case… sadly, it was.Since then, I’d tried to find a suitable replacement, going so far as looking up the recipe to replicate from scratch, but could just not get anything anywhere near the same…Fast forward to Dec 24 and after trying a reasonably tasty ASDA own brand mint sauce, I was reminded of the fabled Mint concentrate, and on off chance, looked on Amazon to see if maybe it had been relaunched… no dice.However, I did notice this product. Initially, I almost immediately dismissed it as “mint sauce” normally means the heavily sugared and “slimy” sauces that are standard, but I noticed the recipe was… the same as mint concentrate. I then perused the Q&A here and lo and behold, someone stated it is the same as old mint concentrate!!I was surprised and a little skeptical, but for the price, it was worth giving it a go.I am so glad I did. This is -exactly- the same as the old mint concentrate and I have been ecstatic at discovering this.
