The updated rating is for the prompt customer service response. I'll update this after I test the new filter.As a test I tried filtering my tap water. Now normally my tap water tastes good, but with this filter the chlorine taste and smell was so strong! According to the makers of this product, this filter is supposed to filter OUT the chlorine. It didn't happen with mine.
