This is a common way of doing livestreaming, although often a USB port can be used instead.Double check your camera connection size before ordering! This one is mini-HDMI which doesn't fit all cameras. Despite the product title saying "Perfect for DLSR Cameras" many have a micro-HDMI connection instead so need a cable such as  this one . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A mini HDMI to Standard HDMI *by B***O on Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2020* I needed one of these to work with a Nikon digital camera that I have. This product is designed for use with a different camera, but it is literally nothing but an HDMI to Mini HDMI. Mini HDMI is found on a lot of digital cameras as a way to send out video to a TV or Monitor so that you can view video that you recorded on your digital camera. Mini HDMI is different from Micro HDMI which is even smaller of a connector and even more rare to see on devices. I know that the Raspberry Pi 4 uses Micro HDMI but this cable is not compatible with Micro HDMI devices.This cable works great with my Nikon and allows me to use my DSLR as a webcam when used with a USB dongle that the HDMI plugs into. This is really overkill but it will work with things like Skype and Zoom once you have configured everything correctly on your PC. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bi-directional - did not experience any issues using this cable *by M***C on Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2020* This mini HDMI to HDMI cable is for some version of Drift Ghost action camera, but it doesn’t have to be used for that. I used it to connect a portable monitor to my desktop pc through a Displaylink converter, and it worked fine. The cable must be bi-directional because it’s meant to send the signal from the mini HDMI side to the HDMI side, but I did it in reverse and had no issue with it. I have no issue with the cable. It did what I needed it to do without any problems.
