The stainless kettle includes a domed lid, Stainless spigot with ball valve, side-mount 3-inch brew thermometer ranging 60-220 degrees. Bulkhead fittings enable easy attachment of thermometer and spigot for a water-tight seal. Side calibration measuring in gallon and quart that read from the inside of the kettle, enabling more accurate water level setting. Ball valve spigot openings are threaded for connection with other brew accessories as needed. Heat shield protects seal on spigot and thermometer. GOOD-GREAT as a mash tun or EXCELLENT as a brew kettle for larger batches. Held 120* water with 4* drop over 2-3 hr period (in my kitchen at ~77*). It is the first kettle I purchased prior to brewing and if I knew then how far I'd go into this hobby I would have spent the extra money for a more advanced kettle with TC fittings. Subsequent to purchasing I added an additional valve for whirlpooling and a pickup tube. I'm using different bulkheads and washers as well as the ones that came with the kettle would cause the rubber o-ring to bulge when tightened too much.
