They aren’t leather and are def not water proof. After two hours on the range, I could feel the insoles flattening out an feeling a bit less comfortable. If they get worse I'll update the review. Keep in mind these are an older version, I believe the Adicross II are the ones I tried on in the store and was what I thought I was ordering. Did not realize my mistake until after the order was placed, but I will stick with them.If you are worried about traction with the small nub type spikes, fear not.
