Turn the minute hand to 12 O'clock position and hour hand to any hour. Fit battery, set clock to correct time and away you go. **Q: is this OK for an outside clock?** A: As the movement is encased in plastic I would not recommend for outside use. **Q: is this a silent movement** A: It is not a silent movement.
