To work with POE your cameras have to be POE. But, you also can connect non POE devices on the GS108LP. In this case, since you have three different switches which do not let the signal through, we might kindly suggest you checking any requirement to use a hive hub with a switch. You may want to check with the hive community, as well.If you have any further questions, you can also check out our community at any time https://community.netgear.com/t5/English/ct-p/EnglishBest regards,NETGEAR Amazon UK **Q: Can i plug in 7 poe cameras and the 8th cable to a router?** A: You will need to check the power required by each camera, and compare that total with what the network switch will support (60 W with standard power supply). If they all have low power requirement (8 W or less) it should be OK, but I doubt that it would support 7 PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras. ## Frequently Bought Together - NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE Network Switch, Hub, Internet Splitter (GS108LP) - with 8 x PoE+ @ 60W Upgradeable, Desktop/Rackmount, and ProSAFE Lifetime Protection - NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged PoE Switch (GS108PP) - with 8 x PoE+ @ 123W Upgradeable, Desktop, Wall Mount or Rackmount, and Limited Lifetime Protection --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/80952966-netgear-8-port-poe-switch-unmanaged-gigabit-network-switch-gs108lp](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/80952966-netgear-8-port-poe-switch-unmanaged-gigabit-network-switch-gs108lp) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
