Review: Quietest fan in my home. - Quietest fan in my home. On low, I can't even hear this fan and in high it is still very quiet. The fan also moves a lot of air! I have it on setting 2 (out of five) and it makes my room so comfortable. It's 91 degrees farenheir outside and I don't have the AC on but this fan is helping immensely. The light on this fan gets super bright but it is dimmable. Also, the light can be smoothly changed from tungsten to daylight so you can match the lighting in any room. The fan was incredibly easy to put together even though the instructions pictures and text weren't always that helpful. The fan is also very unobtrusive because it has a low profile. I have white ceilings and the fan almost disappears when spinning. I'm ordering another one for my son's room.
Review: Excellent quality, solid design, Home Assistant compatible - This review is for the TALOYA 52-inch, low profile, Smart Ceiling fan with handheld remote control and WiFi smart capability. I bought one and was so impressed that I quickly bought 3 more and replaced ALL the ceiling fans in my Florida home. They all arrived in perfect condition. The good points began with the packaging. All well-packed, and no styrofoam. The fan is well-designed and very easy to assemble. It assembles with only a handful of screws and has a very secure mount. No wobbling, rocking, and ticking. It’s entirely different from, and far easier than, the older style ceiling fans. The plastic blades are thick and very rugged, impervious to humidity. Goodbye to old fashioned droopy pressed-board fan blades!! The motor and light controller is wired to the fan and light assembly with plugs. The only wiring with screw caps you’ll need to perform is power and ground. You’ll also need to get your own AAA-sized batteries for the remote; the manufacturer does not include them. All of my handheld remotes already came paired. And, if you’re wondering if one remote will work more than one fan/light …they don’t, I tried. But that isn’t a concern for me. The remotes are convenient, however I wanted to pair them up to my Home Assistant software. You’ll need to download one of the Tuya-based phone apps. Smart Life, SmartThings, etc. Install the app, create an account or login to an existing account, set your smart phone to 2.4GHz WiFi and make sure your phone is connected your internet’s WiFi (the fans don’t support 5GHz WiFi). A long press of a button on the handheld remote puts that fan in pairing mode, the fan’s light flashes and in seconds it’s connected to the app on your phone. Give it a unique name and you’re done. You’ll need to do this even if you don’t want to use their app and instead want to use Home Assistant, desertcart Alexa, or Google. In my case, I wanted to use them with my Home Assistant software. There’s two options for that. There is a Tuya integration you can download; this communicates with the same cloud as the Smart Life app. It works extremely well, it’s easy to install and integrate, and requires very little effort as the dashboard card is already available with all the controls you need for light color temperature, fan speed, forward/reverse, and on/off functions for the light and fan. Or, if you’re like me and hate cloud-based apps (and for that matter, desertcart Alexa, Google, Siri, etc), you can download a Home Assistant integration called “LocalTuya”. You’ll need the cloud setup first, but after you’ve configured everything you can get off the cloud and go local. Fair warning: This is not an easy or fast method, but it does work. The fan is motor is remarkably quiet and very sleek, yet on high it churns up one heck of a breeze - much more than my older fans, yet it has 3 blades vs. the 5-bladed fan it replaced. The color temperature of the light is fully adjustable from 2700k to 6500k and dimmable, the fan speed is adjustable in 6-steps on the handheld remote, but infinitely adjustable my Smart app or Home Assistant. You can speak or set the fan speed in terms or numbers or percentage, whichever you prefer. The same thing is true of the dimming capabilities and color temperature. I am extremely impressed with the quality, the performance, and even the smart integration. I have to admit, I would have preferred that the smart integration be natively Matter-compatible, but that wasn’t the case. Still, I highly recommend this product because it wins on every other point that was important to me. I created a video of the capabilities with local voice control over Home Assistant, bear in mind my phone camera kept correcting for white balance so it really doesn’t show how dramatic the color temperature changes are - but I think you’ll get the point.

I recently bought this for our front room that gets a little stuffy in the summer. It was easy to install, and it works amazing! We got the white fan, and it blends in with our ceiling, so it isn't very noticeable. The light works very well, and has two or three different color temps (I like the warm white). Also, when the light isn't on, it actually just looks like there isn't a light fixture, which I really like since that is usually the part of a ceiling fan that makes it look a little gaudy. The fan moves the air really well, and the motor is silent. It comes with a remote control. We put some command strip velcro on the back of it so that it is attached to the wall near the light switch. Love this fan so far! Would definitely buy another one!
