So the front yellow blinks with your turn signal and the white side light runs with the lights. Or that’s how I have mine. You could put both together and both lights stay on with the headlights. Then I went to a friends house who messes with cars more than me; figured out which wires on my car corresponded to the lights on the unit. traced the wire already on my car so I knew where I was running the new one made the connections and drove off into the sunset. I remember I had to splice one wire the rest worked with one of the provided wire harnesses, I think.
