Washed it first in the dishwasher and the top 'cap' piece became warped as well and would not go back on the dome again, just kept popping back off. Very annoying. I emailed the service department....will see what I hear :) **Q: Measuring cups? my popper came with two small cups - i assume for oil and corn, but nothing in the booklet.** A: My kit did not include extra measuring cups. But if we have the same size, just over 3/4 cup of good popcorn + 2 tblspoon oil will yield a full popper. I love mine. **Q: Missing black cap. anyone how to reach this company and/or get another one? otherwise, i have to return to amazon.** A: I don’t even use the black cap. The clear lid is kind of flimsy. I pour the popcorn in a large plastic salad bowl. I’m careful even when washing it. Another buyers question I answered burned the lid. I’m guessing they didn’t notice the lid wasn’t properly placed on the burner, almost happened to me. They’re trying to find where to buy a new lid. The only odd thing is after it's heated & filled with popcorn, the lid doesn't fit!
