I have a two year old rescue mixed breed shepherd/husky/??? with sever anxiety and impulse control challenges; she forgets she's on a leash and goes completely marlin at the sight of a squirrel--it's all at once hilarious and painful and sad--but fish on! Anyway, the methods in this book are helping, we started inside the home and am now able to walk our front sidewalk, not yet around the block. Food rewards are too much for my girl (they way over excite her), verbal and petting rewards are working.
