The cap has full pouring or gated pour if you want to put lemons or some other fruit or vegetable in it to flavor the water. When I pour, there is some small amount of water that gets out between the cap and the pitcher, beyond what comes from the pour spout. Very nice shape, looks elegant and the handle is quite thick - feels secure. It holds plenty of liquid like if you were to make a batch of iced tea. It feels sturdy.
