BUT this bag does not have a seperate divider for the sleeping bag compartment. Or at least mine does not. It just has a lower access zipper. I was surprised at this but I think it is common feature to that model. Essentially it's just one big compartment. Otherwise I like the backpack but read the specs carefully to determine if that is the case. **Q: How small will the hip belt go? i am shopping for 8 yoa girl: 13.5" torso & 23" waist. trying to decide between 30l & 40l** A: I think a 23" will be right on the edge. My 8 year old son who is rather thin (24" waist) fits his but is near the end of the adjustment. My guess is that it would probably fit once you take into account clothing etc. By the way, we love this pack. Both my 11 year old and my 8 year have one. We have been on several overnights (15+ mile round trip hikes) with absolutely no complaining about the pack. It's well built and is truly just a mini version of an adult pack. Only one complaint, the sleeping bag compartment is small. It fits their kids size LL bean mummy bags but wouldn't fit something much bigger. **Q: Is this too big for a 4-5 years old boy, 110 cm?** A: Unless he is really big for his size then it will be too big. My daughter was 7 when I bought it for her and it was a shy too big. Plus since a kid should be limited to 25% of their body weight in pack weight, they can't carry much anyway. **Q: What are the space dimensions (Liters) of each compartment? What is the max capacity? How long can this backpack last when used daily at max capacity?** A: Measurements can be found through the manufacturer's website...as with nearly anything these days. If you take good care of it, it'll last years and years. If you beat it up, it will not. It's a top quality YOUTH bag.We're a backpacking family & plan to pass this bag down from our older daughter to her younger sister in a few years. We tried it out on an overnight fall trip and she did exceptionally well carrying it. The internal space was plenty sufficient for clothes, food and what little gear she had. The quality of the pack is great and perfectly fit her body for a comfortable carry. One for my 8 year old and one for my 10 year old. Fit great after adjusting the straps. This is a shrunk down version of an adult pack. Overall a fantastic pack. Only two sort of complaints with it. Both kids had trouble getting their water bottles back in and the sleeping bag space is a little small. Both kids have small mummy bags which fit, but I don't think an adult size bag would fit. Still give it 5 stars. First day we hiked 8 miles. Has very few side pockets the hight adjective strap really only moves a few inches. There is no sleeping bag divider so that lower bag opening is point less.
