I upgraded to this cable from the AQ Tower. Speakers are Adam A7X (highly resolving studio monitors) and V90 Dac D/A. I noticed: Biggest: more balanced and less forward in the highs than Tower. I was able to set all my A7X eq settings to 0 DB with the Golden Gate, whereas before they were a bit hyped in the highs (ribbon tweeter). This was quite a difference and appreciated for my system. Another online reviewer noticed this as well, that the Towers are more hyped in the highs -Slightly better detail -Better resolution of stereoimage (objects were more locatable in the soundstage and seemed more cohesive) -Overall more pleasant, perhaps slightly smoother sound -Sound is not "warm" IMO, but somehow less "cool" than tower Of course it's all subjective, but because I wasn't sure what to expect, these are the things that jumped out at me when listening.
