Much better for sports-PT days in school than the old-fashioned canvas white shoes, since they are easier to clean and don't need white liquid polish application. The fit is well crafted, by which I mean that the back ankle part angles in very slightly. Therefore it is snug and may require a shoe horn to put on. The advantage of this for a kid is that once the shoe is on, not only is it tremendously comfortable, but doesn't fall off like other shoes which have straight heel ends. The size was exactly as expected.
