Review: Sunscreens save lives! - I am extremely picky about the products I use on my skin. I lost both parents to aggressive malignant melanoma & fight melanoma as well as BCC & SCC continuously. This product has the right ingredients; mineral based physical blockers that sit on top of the skin and protect against UVA & UVB rays. This doesn't contain the dangerous chemical sunscreens found in so many popular name brand sunscreens which aren't reef safe for the same reasons. Chemical sunscreens have been found to be absorbed into the skin & go to the bloodstream. They're banned in many countries. I use sunscreen every single day regardless of the weather for protection from damaging rays. Many people only use sunscreen when they are planning on being active outdoors. For maximal protection it's critical to use mineral based sunscreen routinely & reapply regularly. This product goes on easily & is absorbed without any white cast that many complain about with zinc oxide & titanium dioxide based sunscreens. It's easy to apply with the spray nozzle (avoid breathing in the product while spraying.) I find this protection works well although it is important to reapply ALL sunscreens regularly for true protection. I have suggested this to others & will certainly be purchasing this again.

I can't take stars just because it's more expensive than other brands. I may buy this for facial and neck use to make it last longer.

**Q: Can this be misted on over makeup? Is it clear?**
A: Yes - it is a dry mist.  Very nice to spray first and then apply foundation.

**Q: Is this an aerosol spray?**
A: I don't know if it is aerosol, but it is a pressurized spray bottle that sprays at any angle and continuously.

**Q: how greedy is this-need something for my head and hair and don't want to look like a greesball?**
A: Sol RX is non greasy.  It is reef and swimming pool friendly.  I would recommend you massage it into your scalp and be sure to let it dry.  Wait about 20 min before going out into the sun.  Don't forget to apply it to your ears, face and neck since you are not wearing a hat.  In high humidity conditions, use a hair dryer to make sure it bonds to your skin.
