All measurements of the ESR are usually displayed on the display, of course, but the unit produces various tones depending on the ESR value. Also, the tone itself is amazingly comfortable whether it's a "bell-like" ping (some different types of ESR below a certain value) or a "Beep-Barp" type tone for ESRs that are likely to be too high. There is also a "lip" for peace of mind once the measurement begins and completes. For this reason, also be measured without removing the capacitor from the substrate.
